MIC serves as a platform for Muslims working in the construction industry to connect, support one another, and address specific needs related to their faith/ work. It offers a range of resources, professional development opportunities, and advocacy efforts to foster a more inclusive and accommodating environment for Muslim professionals in the construction sector.

Abdullah Shah

    Senior Project Manager, Sudlows Consulting

    Abs is a Chartered Engineer (CEng MCIBSE) with extensive experience in Building Services Engineering, delivering complex projects in the UK and the Middle East.
    Holding a degree in Building Services Engineering, Abs specialises in mission-critical infrastructure, overseeing projects from design to handover.
    With expertise in modular construction and DfMA, Abs drives innovation and sustainability. As Co-Founder and Chair of MIC, Abs is dedicated to mentoring and knowledge-sharing, aiming to create a more inclusive and forward-thinking industry.

    Ishaaq Mohamed

      Senior Mechanical Engineer, T Clarke

      Ishaaq has over six years of experience working mainly on commercial and mixed-use buildings, working from Stage 2 all the way to handover.
      Having worked on the intricacies and details of early-stage design as well as under the constant pressure of site, Ishaaq thrives at clearly managing stakeholder interests and ensuring that programme and budget is met.
      Ishaaq has a passion for volunteering and is a co-founder Muslims in Construction (MIC).

      Zeshan Wassim

        Senior Electrical Engineer, Sudlows Consulting

        Zeshan has over seven years of experience in consultancy and contracting roles in the UK, including major infrastructure projects like Crossrail. Now based in the UAE, he has worked on mission-critical, commercial, aviation, and rail projects. He specializes in electrical systems design for data centres across EMEA and APAC, focusing on power distribution, resilience engineering, and project delivery. Zeshan is Co-Founder and Vice-Chair of MIC and is dedicated to mentorship and supporting the professional growth of Muslims in the built environment.
